Governor Kalraj Mishra said it was nice to see girls leading in higher education in Rajasthan. He appealed to the government to make education more powerful and asked universities to work according to New Education Policy.
Mishra was addressing students at the 10th convocation of Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati University as chancellor. In the survey of the top universities of the world, there is not a single university from India in the top 500. It is therefore important to work as per the education index to improve the quality of education in universities,” he added. Higher education minister Rajendra Singh Yadav said the state government would turn every school having more than 500 girls into a college.
As many as 174 gold medals, five chancellor medals and 183 PhD degrees were distributed. VC Anil Shukla spoke of innovations put in place in the varsity.
