The Sanidhya Queue Complex at Dharmasthala is a state-of-the-art facility designed to greatly enhance the experience of devotees visiting the temple. Spanning approximately 2,75,177 square feet over three levels-basement, ground, and first floors, where the complex houses 16 spacious waiting halls that can collectively accommodate between 10,000 and 12,000 devotees.
This modern complex addresses past challenges where devotees had to walk several kilometers and had limited access to washrooms, causing fatigue during their visit. Inside, stainless steel chairs offer comfort, and facilities include well-maintained washrooms, baby care rooms, cafeterias, and free food seva counters. Advanced pressure-cooled air systems maintain a pleasant indoor temperature of 27 degrees Celsius, even when outside temps average 37 degrees.
A key innovation is the integrated AI-powered Queue Management System by Bosch, utilizing 160 surveillance cameras spread across 52 locations for real-time crowd monitoring, headcounts, and dynamic allocation of devotees to waiting halls based on crowd density and devotee categories. This system aids in seamless routing, ensuring devotees are efficiently directed to appropriate halls and neighboring ones when required, thereby minimizing delays. The entire facility within a 500-meter radius is covered by this smart technology, with operations centrally managed from a command center. Moreover, 80% of the complex’s power requirements are met through solar energy.
