Today, July 18, 2024, the Supreme Court heard a number of appeals related to the NEET UG 2024 paper leak issue. The National Testing Agency (NTA) was instructed to publish the NEET UG 2024 examination results on their website by the bench, which included Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, Justice JB Pardiwala, and Justice Manoj Mishra. This would ensure the anonymity of candidates by masking identities city-wise and center-wise.
The NTA has been directed by the Apex Court to release the NEET UG 2024 results by July 20, 2024, at 12 p.m.
Chief Justice Chandrachud discussed the recognized leaks in Patna and Hazaribagh throughout the proceedings, highlighting the need to determine the scope of the breach. He also mentioned the disadvantage that comes with kids not knowing what their test results would be. To maintain examination integrity and openness, the CJI recommended hiding student identities while revealing center-wise mark patterns. The date of the next NEET UG 2024 hearing is July 22, 2024.
