To commemorate the historical Shri Ram Baraat and Janakpuri Mahotsav 2023, all government and private schools in Agra have been directed to remain closed today, October 11, and tomorrow, October 12. The complete closure of all colleges and schools until class 12 has been ordered by Agra DM Bhanu Chandra Goswami. Schools have also received a formal directive instructing them that regular classes would resume on October 13 in this regard. This year’s Janakpuri Mahotsav will take place from October 11 to October 14.
Sanjay Place in Agra has been decked for Janakpuri this year, and today marks the arrival of Ram Baraat. Educational institutions have been closed to prevent congestion on the roads since a large number of people are anticipated to take part in the Shri Ram Baraat and Janakpuri Mahotsav.
The district administration’s directive applies to all Uttar Pradesh Board schools as well as CBSE, ICSE, and students enrolled in private boards of education. School administrators should be aware that strict measures will be taken against institutions that do not comply with the directive and continue to operate.
