In the districts of Mysuru, Mandya, Chamarajanagar, Kodagu, and Chikkamagaluru, schools and colleges will not be open on Tuesday, December 3, as the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast further rainfall in the area as a result of the cyclonic storm Fengal.
The IMD prediction prompted the deputy commissioners to order the closure of educational institutions for an additional day, since Monday, December 2, was already designated a vacation due to the rains that began on Sunday, December 1.
Anganwadis, schools, and pre-university colleges in the district will all be closed on December 3, according to a statement from G. Lakshmikant Reddy, the deputy commissioner of Mysuru. Shilpa Nag, the deputy commissioner of Chamarajanagar, also stated that the district’s schools and colleges, with the exception of degree colleges, would be closed on that day.
