Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Residential Pre-University College, Ujire, was established on July 1, 2003, under the visionary leadership of Padma Vibhushan Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade, President of SDME Society. Conceived to meet the growing demand for quality science education for boys, the college exclusively offers Pre-University Science stream programs. Accredited with ‘A’ grade by Karnataka P. U. Board right from its inception, it admits up to 160 students per year across eight sections (four each for I and II PUC), with each section capped at 40 students. The institution attracts talent from across Karnataka and beyond, thanks to its disciplined environment and consistent academic excellence since inception.

Nestled in the serene surroundings of Ujire, the residential college emphasizes holistic development alongside rigorous academics. Students participate in curricular and extracurricular activities that nurture hidden talents, leadership skills, and resilience to face future challenges. Guided by experienced leadership including Vice President Shri. D. Surendra Kumar, and Secretaries Shri. D.
