Amid severe pollution that has grounded planes and obscured famous sights like the Taj Mahal, New Delhi, the capital of India, has ordered all elementary schools to transition to online instruction.
While officials implemented other steps, such as prohibiting non-essential building and requesting that residents refrain from using coal for heating, Chief Minister Atishi declared on Thursday that in-person lessons would continue to be postponed “until further notice.”
To aid in the reduction of particle matter, officials will begin using automated cleaning and street watering with dust suppressants on Friday.
