Varanasi schools and colleges in Uttar Pradesh are set to introduce regular Tamil language classes, officials announced, as part of initiatives to strengthen cultural and linguistic ties. This move aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for the Kashi Tamil Sangamam.
During his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio address on December 28, the Prime Minister highlighted Payal Patel, a student at Government Queen’s College in Varanasi, for mastering Tamil in a remarkably short time.
