Tamil Nadu Govt. advices schools against conducting special classes in Summer Vacations

Due to the current heat wave conditions in the state, the Tamil Nadu School Education Department has advised schools not to hold special lessons during summer break, an official stated on Saturday.

“The peak of summer Agni Nakshatram begins today and, according to weather reports, the scorching heat will continue up until May 28,” the Department of School Education stated in a statement.

The government said that schools are not allowed to hold extra sessions during the summer break because of the mercury increase, and individuals have been warned to take precautions.

The Tamil Nadu department of education also issued a warning, threatening to take legal action against any school found to be in violation of the directive and holding extra lessons over the summer break.
