A person who infused enthusiasm for education among children following the Right to Education Anthem that he presented, Puneeth Rajkumar, fondly called ‘Appu’ rests in the hearts of all Kannadigas for his noble endeavors. Also, the brand ambassador for the right to education campaign for children of six to 14 years of age, the campaign ‘Education is power’ run by him was placed the responsibility of all citizens to carve their future.
The star was also the brand ambassador for Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan for two years– 2013-14 and 2014-15. While the first year, he was popularising the SSA activities, in the second year it was for awareness on the Right to Education Act. In 2014, the RTE anthem sent by MHRD was translated to Kannada. “He was extremely down to earth and agreed to do anything for the education department. He did not charge us anything,” said an official from the education ministry. Similarly, he was the ambassador for the skill development board.
Actor Puneeth Rajkumar & Co. also once again channeled their sincerity and efforts toward the general public to come out with a special learning platform. Named after his late father, the “Dr. Rajkumar’s Learning App” has been designed to cater to the educational needs of the masses by offering affordable, comprehensive education through a mobile app. Supporting this noble endeavor, the current Chief Minister of Karnataka, Mr. Basavaraj Bommai, graciously launched the app amid the presence of media and a few others. Mr. Bommai even took to social media to share the news of the launch and also spread the word about its relevance. “The Dr. Rajkumar’s Learning App, a new platform conceived with the Quality Education to All objective”, wrote CM Basavaraj Bommai in his tweet.
