Due to unfavorable weather, the state government of Tripura has stated that all schools—public, government-aided, privately run, TTAADC-affiliated, and madrasas—will close on August 22. The Education (School) Department made this decision in order to protect pupils from flooding, landslides, and severe rains that are occurring all around the state.

“Due to the current situation and heavy rainfall, the government has declared a two-day closure for all schools on August 21st and 22nd,” Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha tweeted on his official X account. In addition, on August 21st, all universities will be closed. We kindly ask all staff members, instructors, and students to observe safety precautions and guidelines.
