This full-time, two-year management program, comprising four semesters, is officially approved by AICTE, Govt. of India, and holds recognition from the University of Mumbai. The Department of Management aims to design a curriculum that aligns with the University of Mumbai’s program outcomes. Stakeholder meetings, led by the Head of Department, ensure a balance of core, elective, value-added, and lab-based courses, as well as appropriate assessment methods. The curriculum meets industry expectations and quality benchmarks, following guidelines from Mumbai University’s statutory bodies. The University has implemented the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) to enhance academic flexibility and employability skills, encouraging students to pursue MOOCs and professional certification courses.
The curriculum structure includes core courses offered in the first and second semesters, elective courses tailored to specializations (such as Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Operations and Information Technology), industry internships, community projects, and open electives. To guide their efforts, VESIM has implemented the Career Guidance and Placement Team (CGPT) comprising placement managers, student representatives, faculty members, and alumni. Dr. Satish Modh – Director
Dr. Satish Modh, a renowned researcher specializing in business ethics and strategy, is one of India’s foremost experts in this field. His work centers on the application of Indian value systems to ethical management. He holds an undergraduate degree in Electronics Engineering from MANIT, Bhopal, and pursued graduate studies in Applied Electronics at the University of Indore. He further obtained a Master’s degree in financial management, and completed his doctorate in Strategy along with a law degree from the University of Mumbai.
After his long and distinguished career with Air India, Dr. Modh advanced his career as a Professor at the School of Business Management, NMIMS University, Mumbai. In 2014, he took the position of Director at VESIM, propelling the institute to new heights. Dr. Modh is the author of the groundbreaking book ‘Ethical Management,’ which delves into the Indian value system. His online articles, ‘Value Based Management’ and ‘Building a Caring Society,’ have garnered millions of views. He is also the esteemed author of ‘Discover the Arjuna in You,’ a widely acclaimed book published by Jaico Publishers.
Dr. Satish Modh’s significant contributions have been widely recognized, earning him prestigious accolades such as the “Dewang Mehta” award for outstanding contribution to education in 2014.
