On June 10, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released a warning on the dissemination of false information about the CBSE curriculum, resources, practice exams, and other topics. Students have been cautioned by the Board not to fall for fake news that is being propagated via internet portals.
We have seen that certain websites and online portals are disseminating news and outdated links concerning curriculum, sample question papers, CBSE resources, and activities that cannot be confirmed. Falsely claiming to offer up-to-date information for the 2024–25 session are these webpages and news articles.
The official warning said, “We wish to emphasize in the interest of the public that information from unauthorized sources can be misleading and may cause unnecessary confusion among schools, students, parents, and other stakeholders.”
