Chief Justice of India D.Y. Chandrachud emphasized the importance of developing law and legal education in regional languages to make the legal system more accessible and inclusive. Speaking at the convocation of RMLNLU in Lucknow, he highlighted how legal education in vernacular languages would empower citizens to aspire to roles such as lawyers and judges. The event was attended by notable figures including Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Justice Vikram Nath. CJI Chandrachud stressed that teaching core legal principles in the local context is crucial for creating socially responsible lawyers who truly understand community issues. He also encouraged students to remain adaptable, noting that the field of law evolves alongside society.
