Located in the scenic foothills of the picturesque Kasauli hill station,the ICFAI University, Himachal Pradesh started its actual operations in the year 2013 with the Faculty of Science & Technology and Faculty of Management Studies. The Campus was built on a 2-lakh sq. feet built up-area with academic blocks and classroomsequipped with latest audio-visual equipmentwith the whole campus being Wi-Fi-enabled. The university offers a very scenic and serene environment for the students and the faculty a like, which is more of a connecting factor with mother Earth. Other facilities include well-equipped library, labs and computer center.
The education methodology adopted by the university encourages independent thinking and helps the students develop holistic perspectives, strong domain knowledge, contemporary skill-sets and positive attitude. The university has evolved a comprehensive student-centric learning approach consisting of several stages, designed to add significant value to the learners understanding in an integrated manner.

ICFAI University, Himachal Pradesh is one of the front line universities in providing innovative pedagogies, industry connect and specialization subjects at both UG and PG level. In addition to the prescribed syllabus, the university has added specialization subjects to all its programs in accordance with the market and industry needs. Few of the special courses included areB.Com (Banking & Insurance), B.BA(Retail Management), B.Sc(Media & Advertising), B.Tech(CSE with Artificial Intelligence) &B.Tech(ME with Robotics & Automation).Along with these specialized courses, the university also offers regular UG, PG and Doctorate level courses.
In the domain of Law, the university has a 5 year integrated course in B.A LLB (honors), BBA LLB(Honors)and a 3 years LLB course. Research work in Management & Science, is given high importance at the university. The academic structure provides students with an opportunity to choose elective courses from bouquet of courses offered by the University. The actual offering of the electives will depend on an optimal number of students opting for the same course. In-addition, meritorious students will be rewarded with scholarships as a reward towards academic excellence.

Student life is not all about Academics, but co-curricular activities and sports play a major role in character development too, and this aspect of a student life isnourished at ICFAI, Himachal. The University provides recreational facilities like indoor and outdoor games like table tennis, Chess, Carom board, Badminton, Volleyball, Football and Cricket.
The faculty and the management also encourages the students to participate in co-curricular activities. Various clubs operate in the university; each student has to be a member of at least one such club. Club activities foster camaraderie and inculcate a spirit of teamwork.
There is also a yearly summer internship program organized by the University. This summerinternship program equips the students with practical application skills relevant to various situations. It is an attempt to bridge the gap between the professional world and the academic institutions. It is more like a simulation of the real corporate world, which enables students to experience the rigors of a professional organization.

Placement meets and personality development workshops take place on a regular basis and all the students get adequate information and guidance about the wholesome and awesome career, which lies ahead of them.
Dr. HP Singh, an excellent academic, an ex IITian, a Presidential Award recipient and an author of two books, has 38 years of experience in Industry, training cum academic and administrative domains. He is an active participant in institution building and Organization development. In addition, hereceived the Best International Academic & Research Excellence Award in the year 2019.
He is the current Vice Chancellor at the ICFAI University, Himachal Pradesh and he took up this role in the year 2019. His roles and responsibilities at ICFAI include being the Chair Person of the Academic Council at ICFAI University Himachal Pradesh and ICFAI University, Jaipur. He also is currently taking care of the Finance committee of the University as a Chairman. Subjects like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Theory of computation, Network Security System are his favorites in terms of specialization and he works hard day-in day-out to serve the society and the students for their betterment and growth.
