Currently the institute offers UG Courses across all the major and in-demand streams, along with PG and Ph.D. courses. From giving its students hands-on training in aptitude, while also boosting their communication skills by regularly inviting internal and external experts, TEC helps students get the best before leaving the college.
Additionally, Guest Lecturers from various places of the world are invited for their industrial expertise to talk on current technology. And students across semesters are taken on Industrial Visits, and Internships, and vibrant workshops are conducted for real time industrial experience of the students.
When we personally asked Dr. Mala on what makes TEC students more capable of cracking interviews than their peers in other engineering colleges, she shared – “TEC promotes only enriched course materials for aptitude and communication skill ability, and upskilling happens regularly on technical knowledge”. Over the years, Tagore Engineering College has demonstrated consistent placement success across various departments. In the 2021-2022 academic year, the Computer Science (CSE) and Information Technology (IT) departments saw a commendable number of students placed, with CSE achieving 100% placements for all the eligible students. The Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) department placed 80% of students with packages ranging from 3 to6 LPA. The trend continued in 2022-2023, where CSE maintained strong placements, IT also performed well with 90 % placement. In 2023-2024, the CSE & IT department continued its success with the highest package . Students from the Mechanical department were placed in TAFE with the highest package 5 Lakh per Annum.
